To secure meaningful and measurable reductions of greenhouse gases from New England sources. The project will seek to accomplish this by holding New England states accountable to the regional Climate Change Action Plan they signed in August 2001, committing to significant short- and long-term reductions in greenhouse gases from the region. In the short term, the project will work in six New England states to press governors to adopt and implement state action plans as mandated under the 2001 agreement.
